Thea Ledendecker graduated from Boston University magna
cum laude with a degree in French Language & Literature and a Minor
in Russian Languages and Literature. After that, she spent four years
of living in Eastern Europe (Moscow, Warsaw, & Prague) where she
worked as an English instructor and studied Russian, Polish, & Czech.
Thea holds a master’s
degree from Emerson College in writing and publishing. Her collaborative
design work with others on “Hot Metal” won entry into the General
Trade/Nonillustrated category of the Bookbuilders of Boston’s 46th
Annual New England Book Show.
Her real passion is writing, and right
now she is completing her first novel based on the mythology and
folklore of Siberia and Asia.
The calligraphy to the left was given to Thea by Master Liu, a qigong
master whom she had the opportunity to study with in China. He keeps
her busy updating his website with new information and pictures.
Thea lives in Akron, OH with her husband
and their two cats. She teaches Composition at the University of
Akron.
